Meet Our Team

Daniel Léger

President & Co-Founder

Daniel's drive for crafting high-quality coffee began in his college days when he would roast coffee in his parents' oven at home. His drive soon developed into a business that focuses on sourcing, roasting and delivering high-quality coffee to more people. Daniel graduated from l'École de technologie supérieure in Montreal with a Bachelor's Civil Engineering. On his time off, you can find him on a hockey rink, playing tennis, or traveling to new cities with his family.

Alan Weeks

Vice-President & Co-Founder

A taste for good coffee, culture and travel, Alan also brings the business mindset to the team. He received his Bachelors of Communication in Marketing and Psychology from the Concordia University John Molson School of Business and built and sold multiple businesses. Alan finally put roots down in NDG and is here to ensure he can sip on Monkland coffee for years to come.

Patricia Covell

Patricia’s passion for accounting and solving problems has given her a large interest in assisting start-ups. With a background in agriculture and accounting, she enjoys the interaction that is possible with the farmer at the beginning of supply chain and seeing the satisfied customer at the end. Patricia graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Commerce and specialized in Accounting and Agricultural Business.

Carissa Hadwen

Marketing Coordinator & Owner

Carissa's first job was working at a coffee shop and her interest in coffee has continued ever since. She holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and History. With a passion for travelling, Carissa has grown to appreciate the ways coffee can bring people together in as faraway countries, such as Jordan, Turkey and South Africa. Carissa has successfully completed a coffee roasting masterclass with industry renowned Scott Rao.

Tomas Zylak

Roaster

Tomas is largely led by his passion for good coffee, a regular at many of Montreal's specialty cafes. Like many before him, his first experience roasting coffee came in his parent's kitchen, becoming well acquainted with the sound of the smoke alarm. After years of learning from an outsider's perspective, he is excited to get his first opportunity in the specialty coffee business. When not busy roasting coffee, you can find him reading, and watching or playing basketball.
